Holy Snot! This Made My Year!

Yesterday, I was at the Mug and Brush Barbershop out in Gahanna to get my every-six-month haircut. As many of you long time Nix fans know, Jim Morrison at the Mug and Brush is one of my two big community boosters in terms of advertising. (Kyle at Lost Weekend being the other. They are in a neck and neck race for who has taken out the most Nix ads at given moment.) Jim has original art from his ads by Michael Neno, Brian Kraft and myself hanging through the Mug and Brush, and has a small stack of Nix Books for his clients' reading pleasure close to his chair.
Anyways, when I'm climbing into the chair for my cut, Jim pauses and says "Oh wait! you got to see this!" He then proceeds to grab what looks like a piece of kid's art off the top of his mirror.

Only it's not just any piece of art... It's a stapled series of pages of sequential art featuring Jim as "Super Jim" and his dog Mathilda as "Super Mathilda." You know it's sequential because on each spread, one page is day and the other is night time. It's a whole honest-to-god comic book! I'm enjoying flipping through and Jim tells me the rest of the story...

A while back, two haircuts worth of time, one of Jim's regulars brought in his three-year old son. A quiet kid who listens intently. Jim and the Dad apparently had a nice conversation about all the Nix comics stuff in the barbershop. The next time the Dad and son combo come in for a 'cut, the little boy shyly gives Jim this comic. Literally inspired by their conversation about Nix Comics last time around!
Damn...
I'm not crying...
You're crying...
